That's why we're here, working 24/7, drinking 1,000+ cups of coffee a day, towards a world that is resource efficient, sustainable and safe for everyone living on it.

Thesis

Because A Lot Of Human Activity Generates Greenhouse Gases (GHG)

In 2021, the world adds over 59 billion tons of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, 20% more than in 2019. 

In simplest terms, more carbon equals more heat, and more heat equals more death. This is an established and unavoidable fact. Today, the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are higher than at any point in at least 800,000 years (and arguably as far back as 23 million). Pumping all this CO2 is like locking ourselves in a car on a sunny day. 

Let's be honest, the planet is becoming unlivable. 

Code Red For Humanity

The world is literally just waking up to the threat of climate change, as we are seeing the devastating effects of climate change in every region of the planet – from lethal heat waves, year-round wildfires, epic storms, and destructive droughts, displacing or killing people around the globe and sowing the seeds of famine, disease, and war! But action does not yet match the rhetoric.

The IPCC issued a stark warning in the run-up to COP26. The world has 10 years to halve global greenhouse gas emissions and avoid global warming of above 1.5°C, but that window to avoid the point of non-return is rapidly narrowing.

They Still Miss the Point

While academics still debate about how many degrees the planet will warm, which species will go extinct first, how many millions of people will be killed by extreme weather, which wars and refugee crises will result from drought and famine, and whether sea levels will rise 50cm or 1 meter, political leaders keep failing us as seen during COP26 as they lack the political will to address climate change. 

It is our responsibility, us, the people, the investors, the innovators, the startups to step up and take the bull by the horns so we can leave a somewhat better world to the next generations than the one we know today.

Planet-Healing Isn’t A Spectator Sport
